Latin America
The ITSANET success story is unique in that it involves the implementation of software for a network of regional logistics operators operating throughout Latin America. GlobalTech implemented its GT WMS and GT TMS.
The Challenge
Based on the successful results they achieved in Argentina—where the network of companies originated—and after reviewing various local solutions in the different countries where they operate, they chose the complete GlobalTech suite as the solution to be implemented across all members of the ITSANET network.
The initial challenge facing the project was to meet the different needs and specific requirements of members in each country. To do so, GlobalTech worked to map out all the procedures used by the various companies, apply best practices in logistics to improve their efficiency, and then systematize them using its logistics software suite. Once the software was up and running, the next challenge was to provide adequate support for a highly intensive operation, delivered by a company located thousands of kilometers away.
The Solution
GlobalTech’s experience managed to dispel these doubts. The team of specialists assigned to the project was able to put the client at ease by demonstrating their knowledge of the business, their dedication to providing support, and their commitment to customer satisfaction—all backed by thoroughly tested software.
The project’s development was structured around a work plan involving gradual progress, based on the priority assigned to each operation and country, with a particular focus on serving those customers to whom ITSANET provides regional service. To date, the DEPOT WMS and TRANSPORT TMS modules, along with MOBILE, have been successfully implemented at member companies in Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
The project enabled ITSANET to streamline its warehouse and distribution operations in Latin America by implementing RF technology throughout its operations and integrating the solution with web-based technology so that its customers have online visibility into their logistics chain and inventory. Finally, extensive integration was achieved with the proprietary systems of the network members’ customers.
